At ActualMeds, our commitment to our mission is strong—and it’s made even stronger by the people who drive it forward every day. Lauren Thomas, PharmD, BCMTMS, a consultant pharmacist on our team, is one of those people.

Lauren brings a wide range of experience across clinical, regulatory, and retail pharmacy settings. Her background in medication therapy management, pharmacogenomics, and healthcare compliance helps her support patients with complex needs and ensure safe, effective medication use.

Her day-to-day work reflects what ActualMeds is all about: impact. Whether she’s reviewing medication regimens, collaborating with care teams, or looking for ways to improve outcomes, Lauren brings both precision and empathy to every case. It’s a balance she has built over years in long-term care and consulting pharmacy.

Before her current role, Lauren spent more than a decade at Target Pharmacy, where she worked on implementation teams and served as a trainer. That mix of frontline patient care and system-level execution gives her a valuable perspective, one that bridges clinical insight with operational excellence.

Lauren’s commitment to the profession extends beyond her daily work. She served six years on the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy, helping guide the oversight and advancement of pharmacy practice at a statewide level.

“What I enjoy most about working at ActualMeds is the real-time impact on patient care and working within an expansive healthcare team from many backgrounds,” said Lauren. She is motivated by the chance to make a real difference for patients, especially those managing multiple medications and chronic conditions. She thrives in collaborative settings where pharmacists, providers, and care teams work together to build personalized care plans.

Lauren earned her PharmD from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was named a First Honor Graduate and Presidential Scholar, after graduating valedictorian from Clemson University. Outside of work, she values connection, growth, and giving back to her community.

We’re grateful to have Lauren on the ActualMeds team. Her clinical expertise, dedication to quality, and passion for improving patient outcomes make her a valuable part of what makes our team exceptional.
